Dr. Stefan Synek and Andreas Baernreuther from ASCEND Project – Munich recently attended the BAU Messe, held from 13 January to 17 January 2025, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for architecture, materials, and systems. Their visit included a stop at AVANCIS GmbH, a key project partner specializing in high-efficiency photovoltaic modules.
During their visit, Augustin Rohr presented several real-world applications of AVANCIS’ innovative solar technology, showcasing projects that have successfully integrated photovoltaic solutions into building façades. Attendees also had the opportunity to get a close-up look at the latest solar modules, demonstrating how advanced solar technology is shaping the future of sustainable construction.
One of the most exciting takeaways from the event was the confirmation that a façade-integrated photovoltaic system will be installed in Harthof this year. This installation, supported by ASCEND, marks a significant step toward energy-positive districts, reducing reliance on conventional energy sources and enhancing local energy resilience.
The BAU Messe, which concluded on 17 January 2025, proved to be a vital platform for networking and exploring the latest advancements in sustainable construction and energy-efficient technologies. Events like these have helped ASCEND strengthen its partnerships and drive forward the implementation of scalable clean energy solutions.
We look forward to seeing the impact of this initiative and continuing to foster collaborations that drive clean energy solutions in urban environments.
