The second edition of the ASCEND Café, held on 13 March 2026, focused on stakeholder engagement and the role of energy communities in the development of PCEDs. The session brought together experience from Stockholm and HESPUL, exploring how cities can involve local actors and build the cooperation needed to support district-level energy transitions. ascend-project.eu
The discussion looked at the practical challenges of developing nascent energy communities, including how municipalities and other actors can engage citizens, establish effective collaboration and support participation in the transition towards cleaner and more locally integrated energy systems. ascend-project.eu
