This in-person event aims to bring together nine cities that are developing or interested in developing a Positive Energy District (PED) or Positive Energy Neighbourhood (PEN). The event will take place in Kozani, Greece, on Thursday, September 26th, 2024. The event will begin at 9:00 AM on the 26th and will conclude with a social dinner on the same day. (You will need to travel the day before and return the day after.)
The goal is to share and discuss how to implement and make these projects economically viable through the aggregation of various solutions. In this session, we will have local experts, finance professionals, and investors who will provide support throughout the event.
Also, the definition and understanding of PED/PEN are evolving through various experiences across Europe. Alongside the Municipality of Eordaia and the Municipality of Kozani, we will explore this concept further and understand its implementation in the West Macedonia region with the co-organization of the CluBE cluster.
A budget of up to 900 euros is available to help cover travel and accommodation expenses for visiting cities.

- 14.30 – 16.00 Financial workshop. Split into 3 groups, with 3 cities in each group. Work with each city for half an hour to help develop and advance their PED/PEN project. Address doubts with the experts. GNE Finance

- 18.00 – 19.30 Tour to an nZEB district (an area working towards a positive energy balance, including a visit to a model home) and a visit to Agios Dimitrios, showcasing the integration of EU Missions and New European Bauhaus principles for energy upgrades
- 20.00 Social dinner
